This guy. I’m playing one of my favorite venues in town - Aster Cafe - to finally celebrate the release of my debut EP, City Lights.
Things kick off at 9PM with a set by country/jazz/pop songwriter Sarah Morris. She’s got a smooth voice and a killer guitarist joining her. Sarah is a local gem who spent a few years living in Nashville, so if you like what you hear, she’s gigging often around the Twin Cities.
Following Sarah’s set, I’ll take the stage with the band at 10PM. And let me say - this is a solid band, some of the best musicians around. Jeremy Hanson on drums, Jef Sundquist on bass, Colin Monette on guitar, and Callie Turner on vocals. We’ll be playing all 4 songs from the EP, plus many others, including a few of my favorite covers and a brand new tune I wrote only weeks ago.
It’s going to be a good night and I can’t wait to see all of you there. If you plan on coming, RSVP on Facebook and then call Aster Cafe at 612-379-3138 to reserve a table for you and your honey.
Jason Isbell “Cover Me Up”. That’s a song, folks.
So this is unfortunate news. Aster Cafe recently suffered damage from a city water main break, and so my 9/21 EP release show has been rescheduled for Saturday, December 14.
The good news is that the City Lights EP will still be released this coming week, on Tuesday, September 17. It will be available both as a CD (Bandcamp or direct from me) and digital download (iTunes or AmazonMP3). Links for purchase forthcoming…
